Electro Pneumatics and John Cockerill sign Joint Venture for Manufacture of Gun Turrets in India
We are happy and pleased to announce the signing of a Joint Venture Agreement between John Cockerill Defense France and Electro Pneumatics and Hydraulics (India) Pvt Ltd - a partnership that will play an important role in strengthening India's self-reliance in defence manufacturing.
The signing ceremony took place on 4th March, 2025 in New Delhi in the Embassy of Belgium.
Mr. Francois Michel, Group CEO of John Cockerill, Mr. Thierry Renaudin, CEO of John Cockerill Defense and Mr. Vivek Bhide, F.IOD, Regional Director and Group Transformation Officer along with our Directors formalised this collaboration in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium, Representative of His Majesty the King and many top level government dignitaries from Belgium and India.
This strategic partnership combines the complementary strengths and resources of the two companies for manufacturing gun turrets in India, in accordance with “Make in India” to strengthen India's self-reliance in defence manufacturing, aligning with the Government of India’s vision for indigenous production and aim to become a global defense manufacturing hub.
Together, we embark on a journey to advance indigenous defence capabilities, drive technological progress and contribute to a stronger, self-sufficient India.
